Dave Grohl: 'Britney Spears Is Dead Inside'
He also pokes fun at Beyoncé too
Bona fide rock legend Dave Grohl has poked fun at insipid pop star Britney Spears saying she is “dead inside.”
The Foo Fighters icon made the comments while guest hosting US chat show Chelsea Lately on Monday night.
Doing a most excellent job of anchoring the show, Grohl mocked Britney for failing to land a residency at a Las Vegas casino last week.
He quipped: "She just kinda seems dead inside, like there's nothing behind her eyes. Like there's nothing in her boobs anymore!"
Grohl also stuck the boot into Beyoncé’s half-time show at the Super Bowl show, accusing the pop megastar’s track ‘Single Ladies’ of being reminiscent of a TV show theme.
"Am I the only one that realizes that that's basically a rewrite of the theme from The Jeffersons?," he joked.
Quite possibly the busiest man in rock, Grohl has recently performed on Queens of the Stone Age’s new album, made a documentary about Sound City Studios, formed a rock supergroup and recorded & curated the Sound City soundtrack.
