Creeper seemingly announced their break up on stage at their sold-out headline show at London’s KOKO last night.

Shortly before launching into the set closer ‘Misery’ the lights dropped and the Camden venue descended into near darkness as frontman Will Gould addressed the 1,400 strong crowd.

He told fans: “Of all the shows we’ve played in the last four years, this one will remain with us the longest, because not only is it the last show of this album campaign, but it’s the last show we’ll ever do.”

After the band played a poignant version of the 2017 anthem, montage footage from the band’s career was projected onto the backdrop. The final message read: “Even eternity ends.”

In some kind of final ritual, all members of the band then laid their jackets, which featured the band’s Callous Heart logo, on the stage before exiting.

It’s currently unclear whether Creeper have definitely split or it was a Ziggy Stardust-esque stunt just spelling the end of this current chapter or incarnation of the band.

We’ll wait and see!
