Courtney Love pays tribute to Kurt Cobain on his 51st birthday
"god I miss you”
Courtney Love has paid tribute to her late husband Kurt Cobain on what would have been his 51st birthday today (20th February).
Taking to Instagram, Courtney posted a photo of herself with the Nirvana legend in the early nineties and captioned it “happy birthday baby. god I miss you.”
Kurt took his own life aged just 27 on 5th April 1994 following a battle with drug addiction and depression.
Last February, on what would have been Kurt’s 50th birthday, his daughter Frances Bean Cobain shared a handwritten note to her dad. She was just 20 months old when he died.
The highly affecting note read: “Today would have been your 50th birthday. You are loved and you are missed. Thank you for giving me the GIFT of life. Forever your daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.”
Frances earlier this month revealed her own private battle with drug addition, starting her note: "I thought I would start this post by using a pure moment in Oahu amongst nature, with my love. This moment is a representation of who I am on February 13th, 2018. It feels significant here, now because it’s my 2nd sober birthday."
