Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has given fans an update after undergoing surgery on both his knees.

Corey took to Instagram on Saturday to confirm he was going under the knife for an unspecified condition.

Posting a picture of himself wearing a hair net while resting on a hospital bed, Corey wrote: “Surgery in both knees today - soon I’ll be worth Six Million Dollars!! See you all soon! #bionic #leemajors”

He later posted a video under the caption “Update! Success! See you guys next weekend!”, where he told his 1.5million followers: “Just got out of surgery. Doctors said everything was great. Just cleaned up a bunch of stuff in there and I will be back on stage in no time.

“I’ll see everyone on Kimmel, I’ll see everyone on the 19th at Garden Grove and can’t wait.

“Thank you to everybody for their well wishes and we’ll see you soon.”

Earlier today he posted a picture of his knees, writing: “By Request. Surgery was swell, but here’s to hoping the swelling goes down. See you mother***ers this weekend.”

Slipknot will perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Friday (17th May) where it’s widely expected they will be unveiling their fearsome new masks.

The Iowan metal icons unleash their sixth studio album - the follow-up to October 2014’s ‘.5: The Gray Chapter’ - on Friday 9th August 2019.
