My Chemical Romance Deny They're Reforming After Twitter Hack
Their official Twitter page is hijacked
Gerard Way has been forced to deny that My Chemical Romance are reforming after cryptic messages appeared on the defunct band’s official Twitter page.
Yesterday morning the first Twitter post since the MCR’s demise arrived out of the blue, reading: "you only hear the music when your heart begins to break"
Their 608,000 followers also saw the band’s profile change to the tantalising status of “soon…” – seemingly hinting at a return to the fray.
However, MCR’s former frontman Gerard Way later revealed the band’s account was hacked and their record label were taking care of things.
He Tweeted: “So @MCRofficial was hacked.Friends at WBR are taking care of it. Sorry if that bummed anyone out.
"On the upside- hacker didn’t say anything mean. And they only changed the pic to a band photo. But I understand any activity might upset some."
The post and status have now both been removed.
