Bridgend’s prodigal sons Bullet For My Valentine have announced details of their sixth studio album.

The follow-up to 2015’s ‘Venom’ is called ‘Gravity’ and it will be released via Search and Destroy/ Spinefarm Records on Friday 29th June 2018 - their inaugural release on the imprint.

‘Gravity’ is also Bullet For My Valentine’s first album release since drummer Jason Bowld officially joined founding members Matt Tuck and Michael ‘Padge’ Paget, plus bassist Jamie Mathias, last December.

According to a press release, the album sees the quartet “rewrite their own future” by “finding new ways to invent heavy noise and remaining unshackled by the legacy that comes with being masters of their trade.”

It adds: “The four musicians have stretched their creative wings like never before, delicately balancing film-score electronica and icy synths in their trademark hellfire of hard rock.”

As a tantalising taster for the album, Bullet For My Valentine have unleashed the typically pulsating lead single ‘Over It’. Watch the lyric video here:

Bullet For My Valentine are touring North America throughout April, May and June before playing a penultimate Main Stage slot at Download Festival on Friday 8th June ahead of headliners Avenged Sevenfold.
