A further four bands have been added to this summer’s Bloodstock line-up.

Fresh from unleashing their eleventh studio album ‘Ritual’ last October, groove metal titans Soulfly will bring their inimitable sounds to the Ronnie James Dio stage at Bloodstock on Friday 9th August.

Sole constant member Max Cavalera enthuses: “Bloodstock 2019, get ready! It will be a Cavalera invasion! Soulfly will be playing a lot of songs off our new album, ‘Ritual’. My son, Richie, is coming with Incite too and together we will make a day to remember! F*** yeah! Let the Ritual begin!”

Also taking to the Ronnie James Dio stage on the Friday are German power metallers Powerwolf. The band say: "We're looking forward to returning to the mighty Bloodstock Festival after almost ten years to celebrate the metal mass with our friends in the UK - this is going to be a truly wild one!!"

The aforementioned Incite will have the prestigious honour of opening the main stage on the Friday, while Finnish prog doomsters Swallow The Sun have grabbed an early slot on the Saturday (10th August).

The new wave of bands join an incredible Bloodstock line-up that boasts Friday headliners Sabaton, Saturday headliners Scorpions plus Anthrax, Dimmu Borgir, Children Of Bodom, Code Orange, Soilwork, Cradle Of Filth, Thy Art Is Murder, Tesseract, Metal Church, Death Angel, Dee Snider, Queensryche, Eluveitie, Evil Scarecrow, Ross The Boss, Grand Magus, Rotting Christ and Hypocrisy.

Bloodstock takes place at Catton Park in Derbyshire from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th August 2019. Tickets are on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets now.
