Bloodstock Open Air organisers have unveiled the first six bands who are playing the Ronnie James Dio stage at next summer’s 20th anniversary festival.
Having announced their third reunion earlier this year, San Francisco Bay Area thrash metal titans Vio-lence will play their first ever UK show at Bloodstock 2020. It will also be their only UK concert of the year.
Fellow thrash trailblazers Sacred Reich are also confirmed in their only UK festival appearance of the year, while Newport ragga metallers Skindred will return to Bloodstock three years on from their epic Newport Helicopter scenes on the main stage in 2017.
Completing the first wave of line-up announcements are Black Dahlia Murder, Dark Tranquillity and Butcher Babies.
With many more bands yet to be announced – including the three headliners - Bloodstock Open Air takes place from 6th to 8th August 2020 at Catton Park in Derbyshire.
Early bird tickets are on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets right now.
Last weekend’s event was headlined by Sabaton, Parkway Drive and Scorpions. You can check out some pics below:
