Blink-182 played their first show with Matt Skiba at The Roxy in Los Angeles last night.
The SoCal Pop Punk veterans treated fans to a 23-song set at the legendary 500-capacity venue.
Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker were joined on stage by Alkaline Trio vocalist/guitarist Matt Skiba for the first time, following a tumultuous start to the year which saw Tom Delonge exit the band.
Inevitable fan-shot footage of the gig has begun to emerge, including the below video of Skiba taking lead vocal duties on "Down":
The band played a career-spanning set, which included rare live outings for the likes of "Dysentery Gary", "Wendy Clear" and "Happy Holidays, You B*Stard".
While it's still not known if Skiba is just a temporary replacement, he has committed to several shows with the band. Speaking to Hoppus on his himynameismark podcast, he said:
“Tom and I have a very different guitar playing style. I had to kind of relearn guitar in a sense, b**ut it was a lot of fun. I’ve been a fan of Blink for a long time, I’ve known you Mark for 15 years or something? And I was a fan of the band before we knew each other. I knew a lot of the songs already just lyrically, and of course it’s a totally different thing when you’re playing the songs, but it was a blast.”
He also promisingly added that: “It really feels like a band - it feels like home. It’s great.”
Whatever the future holds for the band though, the merch available on the night shows that they've not lost their sense of humour:
