Kentucky’s prodigal sons Black Stone Cherry have announced details of their fourth studio album ‘Magic Mountain’.

Set for release on Monday 5th May through Roadrunner Records, the album’s lead single ‘Me & Mary Jane’ will be premiered in February.

Enthusing about the Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Bad Religion) produced record, Black Stone Cherry said: "Not since before our first album have we felt the freedom and confidence that we felt while writing and recording this album.

“After touring the world behind three previous albums that we are extremely proud of, we feel this album best captures the live energy, honesty and vibe that encompasses our true musicianship."

Ahead of the release of ‘Magic Mountain’, Black Stone Cherry perform four completely sold out, intimate shows in Glasgow, Manchester, London and Wolverhampton this February and March on ‘The Southern Hospitality Tour’.

The individual set lists will be created from fan requests and there will also be an audience Q&A at every gig. A separate major UK tour is also being plotted for later this year.

Since releasing their eponymous debut in 2006, Black Stone Cherry have achieved a Silver selling record with 2008’s ‘Folklore and Superstition’ and dented the Top 20 with 2011’s ‘Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea.’
