Nope, we didn’t make that up

Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and System of a Down’s Serj Tankian are both appearing on EDM (American for ‘Electronic Dance Music’) DJ Avicii’s second studio album.

One of the most lucrative stars in dance music right now, 24-year-old Avicii – real name Tim Bergling – has revealed he’s collaborating with some of the biggest names in rock to broaden his musical horizons.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Bergling confirmed that Billie Joe Armstrong guests on a track called ‘No Pleasing a Woman’, while other collaborators include Jon Bon Jovi and Serj Tankian.

"It's going to be a lot more song-oriented," Bergling told the US magazine. "True (Avicii’s debut album) was an attempt at that, getting electronic music in a song format."

Fresh from joining forces on Coldplay’s ‘A Sky Full of Stars’, Christ Martin will also guest on the dance record.

"Chris has been like a brother," Bergling said of the singer. "He helps out with my nutritionist. He needs every part to be perfect. I'm not like that. Which is why I've got 70 songs."

The full interview appears in the July issue of Rolling Stone.
