Biffy Clyro have been unveiled as the first big name headliners of Isle of Wight Festival 2014.

Simon, James and Ben will bring their huge production to the Main Stage on Friday 13th June.

Enthusing about their slot, Simon Neil said: “We are over the moon to announce that we will headline the Main Stage of the Isle of Wight Festival next year, on Friday June 13th.

“To follow the likes of Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Bob Dylan and Pearl Jam is an honour. We cannot wait to get back to this iconic Festival, and this beautiful island!”

The typically ecelectic Main Stage bill on the Friday will also feature fellow Scot Calvin Harris and Rudimental.

Also playing across the weekend are Passenger, indie-rock stalwarts The 1975 and folk veterans The Waterboys. Matthew Healy from The 1975 said: "The Isle of Wight Festival has such a rich musical heritage. We can't wait to play there in the summer."

Isle of Wight Festival takes place from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th June 2014.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday 12th December at a special Early Bird price of £170. Head to kerrangradio.co.uk/tickets to get yours!
