Asking Alexandria’s Sam Bettley ‘lucky to be alive’ after serious road accident
He receives medical treatment
Asking Alexandria bassist Sam Bettley says he’s “lucky to be alive” after being involved in a serious road accident.
The incident happened when the truck he was driving containing all his worldly possessions flipped over at high speed when its tire blew.
Sam posted a picture on Instagram showing the mangled vehicle with his battered washing machine and other boxes of belongings scattered across the road.
Sam wrote: “Lucky to be alive. Tire blew out on me causing me to lose control and flip the truck. Everything I own has been destroyed but at least I walked away without a scratch. Grateful.”
Although Sam said he got away scratch-free, he later posted another image with a needle embedded in his arm while receiving medical treatment.
Along with emojis of needles, Sam captioned the photo: “Yeah mate that's fine.. Take as much as you want...”
