Arnold Schwarzenegger equates Nickelback with herpes and the band respond in style

Actor, politician, TV host and muscleman Arnold Schwarzenegger has become the umpteenth person to jump aboard the (highly tiresome) Nickelback bashing bandwagon.
The Terminator star shared a video on his social channels last night where he hit out at United States Congress by saying: “Here are some of the things that are more popular than Congress: haemorrhoids, Nickelback, traffic jams, root canals, colonoscopies, herpes. Even herpes, they couldn’t beat herpes in the polls.”
Pushing for reform in Congress, Schwarzenegger also tweeted: “When Congress is less popular than herpes & Nickelback, how do 97% of them get re-elected? Gerrymandering.”
Little did Schwarzenegger realise that he was taking on the undisputed kings of Twitter comebacks.
Citing the critically savaged 1997 superhero movie ‘Batman & Robin’ in which Schwarzenegger stars as Dr. Victor Fries / Mr. Freeze, Nickelback responded: “Approval rate this: Batman & Robin. Please leave us out of your future wisdom drops. Danke Shön Herr Governator.”
Conceding that he had been trumped by the Canadian rockers, Schwarzenegger retorted: “That's... ice cold. I hope we can agree that we need a freeze on gerrymandering, guys. Thanks for the reply.”
