Arctic Monkeys Announce Fifth Album 'AM'

Their close friend Josh Homme guests on the record

Arctic Monkeys will release their fifth studio album ‘AM’ on Monday 9th September.

Led by recently unveiled single ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ and last year's 'R U Mine?', the 12-track record features guest appearances from Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, former Coral guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones and revered Sheffield drummer Pete Thomas.

Cult poet John Cooper Clarke provides words on the closing track ‘I Wanna Be Yours’.

The album was produced by their long-term cohort James Ford and co-producer Ross Orton at Sage & Sound Recording in Los Angeles and Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree. It was engineered by Ian Shea and mixed by Tchad Blake.

The new album news comes just four days before Arctic Monkeys headline The Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival on Friday night (28th June).
