Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner For Queens Of The Stone Age Record
He joins Trent Reznor, Dave Grohl Elton John and co.
Arctic Monkey’s Alex Turner is the final big name confirmed for Queens of The Stone Age’s new album ‘… Like Clockwork’.
It’s not clear what track Turner appears on, or whether his contribution is instrumental or vocal, but a new press release from QOTSA’s new label Matador has today revealed his inclusion.
The press blurb reads: “‘… Like Clockwork’ included drums by Dave Grohl, Joey Castillo, and Jon Theodor, and guest appearance by Sir Elton John, Mark Lanegan, Nick Oliveri, Trent Reznor, Jake Shears, James Lavelle and Alex Turner.”
Elsewhere, the press release also revealed that that Queens of The Stone Age are planning “an extensive world tour” in support of the record in addition to their festival slots this summer.
Set for release this June, ‘… Like Clockwork’ was self-produced by Josh Homme & QOTSA and recorded by Mark Rankin at Pink Duck Studios, California.
Good friends with Alex Turner, Josh Homme produced Arctic Monkeys’ 2009 album ‘Humbug’ alongside James Ford.
