Anthrax, Gojira and Satyricon added to Bloodstock 2016
The metallest metal festival expands
Three rock behemoths have been added to the Bloodstock 2016 line-up!
First up are French powerhouses Gojira who** **will be bringing their colossal riffs to the Ronnie James Dio stage as special guests on Saturday 13th August.
Singer Joe Duplantier said: “Bloodstock is one of our favourite festivals in the UK! The quality of the bands playing is always a high standard and we love the passion of the people who come to rock out! It’s an honour to be a part of it again.”
Stepping into Sunday’s special guest slot are thrash titans Anthrax. Lynchpin Scott Ian enthuses: “On the most metal of days we will once again have the privilege to rage with you crazy f***ers! Bloodstock! A festival fit for all kings!!! See what I did there? See ya soon, my friends.”
Completing the fresh batch of additions are Norwegian black metallers Satyricon who will perform their new album ‘Nemesis Divina’ in its entirety on the Sunday. It will also be their only UK show of the year.
“Next year it’s 20 years since Satyricon made its live debut as a band, and 20 years since we released Nemesis Divina,” frontman and visionary Satyr comments.
“There's a nemesis walking through life, for all to face. And there's a Divine Nemesis, for all to face that come to see Satyricon at Bloodstock 2016. Let us celebrate the 20th anniversary of a milestone album like only Norsemen and Brits can!"
The new additions join a blockbuster bill that already boasts headliners Twisted Sister and Mastodon plus Behemoth, Venom, Paradise Lost, Dragonforce and Rotting Christ.
