Alice In Chains have lined up three arena shows for next spring.

The Seattle rockers will play Glasgow Braehead Arena on Thursday 23rd May, Birmingham Resorts World Arena on Friday 24th May and London SSE Arena Wembley the following day. These will be the biggest headline shows the band have played to date in the UK.

Tickets go on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets at 9am on Friday 9th November. Support comes from fellow American doomsters Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

The three gigs support Alice In Chains’ first studio album in five years, ‘Rainier Fog’, which was released back in August.

The 10-track album was recorded at Seattle’s Studio X – previously known as Bad Animals where they tracked 1995’s self-titled ‘Alice In Chains’ – together with Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles.

Alongside enlisting producer Nick Raskulinecz for the third consecutive album, ‘Rainier Fog’ was engineered by Paul Figueroa and mixed by Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool).

The album title itself is a nod to Seattle, taking its name from Mount Rainier that overlooks the Washington State region.

Next year’s arena gigs follow Alice In Chains’ sold out shows at Leeds O2 Academy and London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire back in June.
