Murder investigation underway after Woman found dead in Blackpool
The woman in her 50s was found with 'suspicious' injuries

Officers were called to a report of an unexpected death on Redcar Road in Blackpool just before 11 am on Thursday, September 21st.
Police attended the scene and found a woman in her 50s had passed away. She's now been identified as Alison Dodds.
The force have confirmed her death is being treated as suspicious, after a post mortem discovered she suffered multiple injuries.
Patrols in the area have increased following this discovery, to alleviate concern.
Detective Chief Inspector Jane Webb from the Major Investigation Team, has said that her thoughts are with Alison’s family and loved ones.
She also commented that it is a "tragic case" and the investigation team are determined to find out the full circumstances surrounding Alison's death. They are asking for the community's assistance:
“We’d ask that anyone who may have information that could be useful to the investigation, please contact us as soon as possible.”
