Police leading the search for a father and son missing on a hillwalking trip to Glencoe in the West Highlands of Scotland say they have found two bodies.

They are yet to be formally identified, but the family Tom Parry, 49, and Richie Parry, 12, have been made aware.

They were reported missing on Wednesday after failing to return to their home in Cheshire after visiting Glen Nevis and Glencoe.

Car found

Their car was found in the Three Sisters car park in Glencoe where they stopped on Tuesday to go hillwalking.

Police Scotland says enquiries are ongoing but there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.

Inspector Craig Johnstone said: “Our thoughts are with all those involved. I would like to thank all emergency services and Mountain Rescue volunteers.”
