Man dies from self-inflicted wounds at Tube station

A man's died from self inflicted injuries at Sloane Square Tube station.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene just after 10:20 this morning, but the man couldn't be saved.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called today (Wednesday) at 10.22am to reports of an incident at Sloane Square underground station, SW1.

“We sent a number of resources including an ambulance crew, two medics in response cars, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance.

“Sadly, despite our efforts, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”

The station was closed for a time but has since reopened.

MP for Chelsea and Fulham Greg Hands has said on social media that he's shocked and saddened by the news.
