Thieves steal £1m of jewellery at Jack Grealish's Cheshire mansion

It happened whilst the Man City star was playing at Everton

Police are investigating after England international Jack Grealish reportedly had 1-million pounds worth of jewellery stolen from his Cheshire home.

The 28 year old England and Manchester City star was in action in a 3-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park at the time, with his family watching from his home.

An emergency response - including a helicopter, police dogs, and several officers - attended the property.

No arrests have been made so far.

In a statement, police said:

"At around 9.50pm on Wednesday 27 December police were called to reports of a burglary in Chelford, near Knutsford.

"The caller reported that a number of items had been stolen.

"Officers, supported by the police dogs and NPAS, were deployed and searches were conducted in the local area, but there was no trace of the suspects.

"No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1722738."
