Four people seriously injured in crash on Lancashire A-road
The casualties include two young children

Four people, including two young children, have been seriously injured in a car crash in Gisburn, Lancashire.
Emergency services were called at 3:55pm yesterday (21st May), where a Skoda Karoq and Volkswagen Golf R had collided.
The driver of the Skoda, a woman in her 60s, and two passengers, a boy and a girl, both aged 5, are in critical condition in hospital after suffering severe injuries.
The driver of the Golf, a man in his 20s, is also in hospital, with serious injuries.
Lancashire Police is appealing for any witnesses or people with video or dashcam footage to come forward.
Our officers attended and found that a Skoda Karoq and a Volkswagen Golf R had been in collision.
The driver of the VW Golf, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Sgt Anthony Beckett said: “This was an horrendous collision involving two cars and involved a huge response from the emergency services.
“The A59 at Gisburn was closed for several hours while the injured people received treatment at the scene and for collision investigation work to be carried out.”
