East Sussex burst water main 'fixed' - but water supplies could take time to be restored
Southern Water said it will carry out stringent quality checks before restoring supplies.

Southern Water has confirmed that work to fix a broken water main, which left around 31 thousand properties across East Sussex without water, is complete.
Residents have been relying on bottled water stations since the fault occurred on Thursday, with collection stations setup in locations across Hastings and St Leonards on Sea.
Last night, more supplies were disrupted in Hollington due to 'pressure' on reservoirs as a result of the burst.
The firm said last night that its treatment works at Beauport were restarted last night and its hoped that supplies could be restored to customers throughout today (Sunday).
Bottled water stations will reopen at 8am with deliveries being made to customers on the Priority Services Register throughout the day.
A spokesperson said:
'The team are working hard to restart service. Once the water has passed stringent quality tests, supplies will start to return for customers.
'We’re hopeful that water supply could start to return gradually over the course of Sunday with different areas getting water at different times.'
