Dog walker killed in Carmarthenshire crash named as man arrested

Police say they believe they've found the car involved in the crash

Dyfed-Powys Police say they've arrested a man following a fatal crash in Carmarthenshire on Monday 23rd December.

Officers investigating a suspected hit and run tell us they've found a vehicle they believe may have been involved.

A 27 year-old man's been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop for a collision and failing to report a collision.

It happened near to Caer Salem Baptist Church in Llanpumsaint sometime between 6.45pm and 7.45pm on Monday night.

The road remains closed and residents can expect to see more police in the area while the investigation continues.

Specially trained officers are supporting the family of 38 year-old Aaron Jones who tragically died in the crash.

Police are thanking everyone who responded to their earlier appeal for information and want to continue talking to anyone travelling in the area at the time who may have dashcam footage, or anyone with doorbell cameras or CCTV in the area to check the footage and get in touch.
