A boy, 15, who can't be named because of his age, has pleaded not guilty to murdering another teenager in Birmingham city centre.

He also denies possessing a bladed article.

Muhammad Hussain Ali, 17, was stabbed in Victoria Square at around 3:30pm on 20 January.

Detectives believe he was killed in a case of mistaken identity and is not treating his death as gang-related.

A second boy, also aged 15, was released on police bail with strict instructions.
