The comedian and jazz fan returns to Jazz FM for a series of programmes in which he turns on full-on-jazz-geek and looks at 'Jazz Family Trees'
Marcus Brigstocke's series Jazz Family Trees is returning for a fourth season!
The new 6-part series - which begins on Sunday 8 January 2023 (9pm) - focuses on the music and connections of American jazz pianist Bud Powell.
About Marcus Brigstocke's 'Jazz Family Trees:
The comedian Marcus Brigstocke returns to present his series, which debuted in 2020, called Jazz Family Trees.
The series sees Marcus takes an artist and then - much like the game ‘six degrees of separation’ - discovers their web of connections within the music world, before returning to the original artist. Having covered the jazz connections of figures such as Art Blakey, Miles Davis and Blossom Dearie, the new 6-part series will showcase the connections of more pivotal figures from the jazz world.

The third series of Marcus Brigstocke's Jazz Family Trees will air on Sunday evenings from 9pm, starting on Sunday 8th January 2023.
