We are asking our own industry to embrace equity – which is this year’s theme for International Women’s Day
Last updated 7th Mar 2023
On Wednesday 8th March 2023, we are asking our own industry to embrace equity – which is this year’s theme for International Women’s Day.
The Jazz FM playlist features countless talented female musicians including instrumentalists, vocalists, and songwriters... but this year we want to focus our attention on artists AND those behind the scenes.
On Wednesday, the 8th of March, we’ll be hearing from band leaders, producers, engineers, promotors, managers and industry shapers as they share details from their own careers, and how they believe the music industry can better achieve parity.
Listen out across the daytime with Nigel Williams, Deb Grant and Jamie Crick as they hear from:
- Talent Manager Olivia Williams
- Swing Orchestra Promoter Gerri Perri
- B-ahwe, singer-songwriter and producer
- Lady Blackbird, vocalist
- Artist and member of an all-female ensemble, Jelly Cleaver
- MADELEINE, producer & songwriter
- Jazz North Board Member/Comms Manager Jackie Thompson
- Promoter Emma Perry
- Radio Producer Pippa Brown
