Ronnie Scott's Radio Show presenter Ian Shaw performs his rendition of the Burt Bacharach and Hal David song 'Alfie', performing alongside Iain Ballamy (sax) Jamie Safir (piano).
Ian's latest project, What's New, is a collaboration between three of the UK’s leading jazz musicians – Ian Shaw teams up with saxophonist and composer Iain Ballamy and pianist Jamie Safir. The album focusses on the sonic and emotional connection of the voice with Ballamy’s saxophone and with the young Safir’s astonishing piano stylings, affording the three musicians more space to stretch out.
'What's New' was released via Silent Wish Records in February 2020.
