Zara McFarlane bags award at MOBO 2014

Last night's MOBO award for 'Best Jazz Act' went to singer Zara McFarlane. 

Zara came up through various electronic music collaborations, featured as vocalist for the acclaimed Jazz Jamaica and released her debut jazz album 'Until Tomorrow' in 2011. This year she's performed at international festivals and released her second album 'If You Knew Her', like the first, on DJ Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Records.

Best Jazz nominations also included Zara's own pianist Peter Edwards. See them both as Zara plays London's Rich Mix on Nov 21st.
