Jazz FM announces a stellar line up for Christmas - featuring programmes presented by Jacqui and Alec Dankworth, Grammy Award Winning bassist Marcus Miller and soul legend Candi Staton.

Christmas Eve starts with a great festive twist on Vinny Marino’s TransAtlantic Jazz, from beneath the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree in New York City. 

“Christmas Day with The Dankworths” brings together singer Jacqui and bass playing brother Alec for three hours direct from The Stables – the jazz venue in Milton Keynes founded by their parents Dame Cleo Laine and Sir John Dankworth.

Grammy winning bassist Marcus Miller, who has played on and produced music for Miles Davis, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, David Sanborn, Dizzy Gillespie and countless more, presents a special Christmas Day edition of Dinner Jazz.

New Year’s Eve on Jazz FM is where the party starts properly with an 8 hour “Funky Sensation” which includes guest host, soul legend Candi Staton who will see in the new year.
