13 year old jazz saxophonist Sam Barnett is playing a fifteen minute set at the official Regent Street Christmas lights switch-on event in London this Sunday at 3.50pm.

Sam came to prominence when Jazz FM’s Nigel Williams happened upon his playing in a competition for busking space at Victoria Station and invited him in for a chat the very same afternoon. He won the competition and set out to get a scholarship at the prestigious Berklee School of Music in America. Sam plays with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and Gary Crosby’s Tomorrow’s Warriors.

Sam and his alto horn will be joined by singer Julie Clare and found on the Camper Acoustic Stage, by Conduit Street, performing at the event along with pop stars Take That, boy band Union J, singer Jessie Ware, the cast of The Jersey Boys and Britain's Got Talent's Jack Pack.

“Can’t believe I’m playing on the same stage as all these stars! Can’t wait for Sunday. Playing my Signature Custom RAW for the best possible sound!” he said in a recent post.
