Piano and musical instrument company Yamaha opened a new own-brand store last night spanning three floors in Wardour Street, the first outside Asia.

Yamaha are keen to showcase the variety of instruments and technology they manufacture from pianos and guitars to woodwinds and brass to digital equipment for studios and stadiums.

The opening event was very much jazz themed, including a “silent gig” using the latest digital products to create an impressive experience.

Managing Director of Yamaha Music UK Mark Rolfe said, “we have taken our passion for blending tradition and modern to create an entirely unique store concept with our grand piano floor with traditional wood panels and grand chandeliers through to our lifestyle experience on our ground floor with modern keyboards, the World’s most popular Digital Piano and a great range of brass, woodwind and string products. And in the basement there is London’s Prime location and one stop shop for all Professional music and audio items.”
