The Trane now arriving

Rhino are releasing a six CD and six vinyl set of John Coltrane’s work for Atlantic Records to coincide with a new documentary ‘Chasin’ Trane’ which will be released later in the year. These have all been re-mastered in mono. 

Included are Trane’s ‘Giant Steps,’ Bags & Trane,’ with Milt Jackson, ‘Olé Coltrane,’ ‘Coltrane Plays the Blues,’ and ‘The Avant-Garde,’ with Don Cherry.

In the box set called ‘John Coltrane: The Atlantic Years - In Mono’ is a 32 page booklet including photos of Coltrane from the period and liner notes from Ashley Kahn who wrote the book about Coltrane’s ‘A Love Supreme’ recording. 

Those opting for the vinyl box set will find a replica of the original ‘My Favorite Things Part I & II’ on 7” single included.
