An umbrella event called The Streets is back this month, bringing World-class music to the high streets of Tooting, Ilford, South Norwood, Kingston-Upon-Thames and Leyton in Greater London as part of Festival on the Move in the EFG London Jazz Festival.

A diverse range of artists are programmed right across 7 boroughs with support from The Mayor Of London and Arts Council of England:

Vocalists Natalie Williams, Cecilia Stalin, Brendan Reilly, Noemi Nuti, Juliet Kelly and American Liv Warfield will all appear, plus top musicians in New York bassist Akan Hampton, clarinetist Arun Ghosh, tuba player Oren Marshall, MOBO Award-winning saxophonist Nathaniel Facey and Manchester’s Riot Jazz will all take their music to London venues not used to this level of activity.

It’s an ambitious and dynamic programme designed to unlock the potential of high streets so that local residents, businesses and visitors can rediscover and reclaim their public space. The Streets takes place on the weekends November 13th and 14th and again from 20th to 22nd with performances, workshops, parades and pop-up events.
