The Comet has come
Saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings and his new band The Comet Is Coming have released their debut album ‘Channel The Spirits’ on The Leaf Label.
Jazz FM Award-winning Instrumentalist Of The Year 2015, Shabaka Hutchings and his new band The Comet Is Coming have released their debut album ‘Channel The Spirits’ on the eclectic Leaf Label.
The towering Sons of Kemet saxophonist, under his new alias King Shabaka, plays driving, hypnotic, dubby lines on a high energy, punky soundscape alongside Danalogue The Conqueror (Dan Leavers) on synths and keys and Betamax Killer (Maxwell Hallett) on drums.
They will play London Fields Brewery on Wednesday 13th April, Manchester’s Soup Kitchen on Wednesday 22nd June, London's Lovebox Festival on Saturday 16th July and Shambala Festival, Northamptonshire on Sunday 28th August.
