Stevie Wonder opens up on the Black Lives Matter movement
Icon Stevie Wonder has released a video revealing his thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement
Superstar Stevie Wonder has added his voice to the Black Lives Matter movement.
Using social media, the 70-year-old musician broadcast a message of unity and encouraging everybody to vote in the upcoming US election.
In an impassioned speech, Wonder quoted lyrics from his song 'Visions', going on to say that “If life can have an ending, all things can have an ending. Systemic racism can have an ending. Police brutality can have an ending. Economic repression of black and brown people can have an ending. People can have an ending. A movement without action is a movement standing still.”
Concluding the message, he said "Black lives do matter and this is not another digital viral trend or hashtag, it has to be the beginning of the end of all this bulltish. It is our lives... You know it’s a sad day when I can see better than your 2020 vision.."
