Special jazz shows announced for Regent's Park
The Open Air Theatre in Central London will present Stacey Kent and Joe Stilgoe amongst others
A number of jazz offerings will be served up by Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre this summer, as part of their MOREoutdoor season.
It’s just been confirmed that Grammy-nominated vocalist Stacey Kent will play music from her latest album ‘Tenderly’ at the venue on Sunday June 11th, while Joe Stilgoe (son of the great Richard Stilgoe) will perform his acclaimed ‘Songs on Film’ show in its biggest outing yet. The self-confessed film buff and occasional Jazz FM presenter will play “jazz and swing from Pulp Fiction to the Muppets, and Sweet Charity to Whiplash” on Sunday 20th August.
Alongside that are film screenings including ‘La La Land’ and ‘The Graduate’, plus the musicals ‘Oliver Twist’ and ‘On The Town’, and a new dramatization of Dickins’ ‘A Tale of Two Cities’.
Full details can be found on the theatre’s website.
