British saxophonist Tim Garland is to release a “suprise” album on Edition Records on October 2 called ‘Return To The Fire’.

It sees him re-unite the exact same band that made his 1995 album ‘Enter The Fire’ which caught the attention of Grammy Award-winning pianist Chick Corea who subsequently invited Garland to join his band. Trumpeter Gerard Presencer, pianist Jason Rebello, drummer Jeremy Stacey and bassist Mick Hutton all make a return with the addition of a number of leading young British players in bassists Tom Farmer (double) and Laurence Cottle (electric), drummer James Maddren and guitarist Ant Law.

‘Return To The Fire is described as, “an out-an-out jazz album that celebrates not just Garland's own musical journey but pays homage to a potent time in jazz history.”

This will be a special vinyl and download only release, promising the first 50 sold will be signed and numbered individually. Digital pre-orders already allow a one track download now, the rest of the album following (including lossless quality) upon release.
