Saxophonist Eric Marienthal extends his joy of learning
Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Eric Marienthal has launched an educational website called Jazz Saxophone School for saxophonists of all experience levels.
Berklee School of Music alumnus and Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Eric Marienthal has launched an educational website called Jazz Saxophone School for saxophonists of all experience levels.
The site, “enables world-renowned artists and musicians to ‘teach the world’ by presenting their artistic legacy in the form of HD video lessons and direct feedback to subscribing students." Using simple web-cams, smartphones or tablets students can engage in two-way interactions with tutors by submitting practice videos and receiving individual video feedback and guidance.
Marienthal is renowned for for sharing his accrued knowledge of his instrument and jazz. During his career he has played with Chick Corea, Jeff Lorber, Russell Ferrante, Dave Grusin, The Rippingtons, guitarist Chuck Loeb and many more.
