Carlos Santana says he and his wife Cindy Blackman Santana have always been huge fans of The Isley Brothers and they were delighted when Ronald and Ernie said yes to embark on a new project. It’s called ‘The Power of Peace’ and will consist of carefully chosen love-and-peace songs including those by Stevie Wonder, The Impressions, Marvin Gaye and Burt Bacharach.

Speaking to Billboard Magazine, Santana said "The theme is spiritual divine medicine to counter the fever pitch fear that's permeating this planet right now; every era has its songs, whether it's Pete Seeger or Bob Dylan or Bob Marley or Curtis Mayfield, to help alleviate the condition of brutality and war. This CD wakes you up beyond religion, beyond politics, beyond nations. It's our duty to do this”

One original track has been written by Cindy, called ‘I Remember’ – the video story of that can be seen below, and the full album sees its release on July 28.
