Five time grammy-winning blues musician Robert Cray has released a new album and announced an extensive UK tour.

This latest project titled ‘That’s What I Heard’ is a mixture of new material and classic songs from Cray’s heroes including Bobby Blue Bland, Curtis Mayfield, The Sensational Nightingales and more. It’s produced by Steve Jordan who says they were aiming for a soul/R&B sound that echoes early Sam Cooke.

Over the past four decades, Cray has created a sound that rises from American roots, blues, soul and R&B, with 20 acclaimed studio albums and a bundle of live albums that punctuate the Blues Hall of Famer’s career.

The Robert Cray Band will tour the UK from 30th April with 13 shows including Bexhill, Birmingham, Portsmouth, St. Albans, Leicester and Edinburgh. You can find out more about Robert Cray's tour and album here.
