Recognition of a life's work for Wayne Shorter and Buddy Guy

The Grammys are to give Lifetime Achievement Awards to saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter and blues man Buddy Guy. In addition a Trustees Award will go to  promoter and impresario George Wein, founder and producer of the Newport Jazz Festival and New Orleans’ Jazz & Heritage Festival. Wein’s award, “recognizes outstanding contributions in areas other than performance.”

The ceremony will take place at a special invitation only event during Grammy Week on February 7th.
