Rarely seen dynamic jazz and soul singer Rachelle Ferrell returns to London for two nights and four shows at Ronnie Scotts on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th October. Her self titled debut album 'First Instrument' was a fixture on a newly launched Jazz FM in 1990. From her beginnings in Philadelphia she soon began impressing audiences throughout the world with her vocal power, in particular with live performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival. She was a firm favourite with festival director, the late Claude Nobs.

Blessed with a voice spanning a six octave range Rachelle is something of a force of nature though in the 24 years since her debut she made only 3 studio albums. She remains an elusive and extraordinary performer.
