International Jazz Day Celebrations at the White House

April 30th marked the fifth annual International Jazz Day, celebrating music throughout the world. This year’s All-Star Global Concert took place in the iconic surroundings of The White House in Washington D.C and was hosted by none other than President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, broadcast as a primetime ABC television special. The event is organised by the United Nations and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Herbie Hancock.

The 'MC' for the night was Hollywood actor and Jazz fan Morgan Freeman and actor Helen Mirren also introduced her fellow countryman Sting.
