New Orleans' legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band will play in Cuba for the very first time this December from 14th - 22nd at the Havana Jazz Festival. In their official release the band says, “This landmark meeting between the people of Havana and this quintessential American tradition will mark the beginning of what is sure to be a fruitful relationship.”

This will be the 37th annual Havana Jazz Festival and Americans are taking advantage of the new relationship with Cuba to make new travel arrangements and discover more of the island. This year the very first flight from New Orleans to Havana in 58 years took place. At just 672 miles away the journey can be achieved in less than two hours.

The two locations share a long business, culture and music relationship going back centuries.
