Pianist and composer Ivo Neame embarks on a six date tour tonight, and across next week, in support of his new album ’Strata’ including two dates in London at Ronnie Scotts and The Vortex.

Known as one third of the widely acclaimed Anglo-Scandinavian trio Phronesis, Neame is one of the most highly regarded British pianists in his field. Joining him on the road is a stellar quintet featuring Tori Freestone (saxophones / flute), Jim Hart (vibraphone), Tom Farmer (double bass) and Dave Hamblett (drums).

His music is beautifully described by his record label as "a living, breathing contradiction – complex yet accessible, considered yet spontaneous, traditional yet forward-thinking." The new album features Neame on Accordian as well as piano, expanding his soundscape with subtle folk influences.

’Strata’ is released on Monday June 15th on Whirlwind recordings.
