Phronesis announce UK tour dates in November
Two time MOBO Award nominated Anglo-Scandinavian piano trio Phronesis have announced their winter tour dates.
Anglo-Scandinavian piano trio Phronesis have announced their winter tour dates.
Danish bass player Jasper Høiby formed the band in 2005, with British pianist Ivo Neame and Swede Anton Eger on drums. They are widely regarded as one of the best trios in the world. This year has been a busy and positive year for Phronesis. The band recently received their second MOBO Awards nomination for ‘Best Jazz Act', as well as touring as far and wide as Morocco to Brazil, to festivals including The Love Supreme Festival, North Sea Jazz, Copenhagen, and tours across the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands.Â
In 2010 both Jazzwise and Mojo Magazines awarded them ‘Jazz Album of the Year’ for their album ‘Alive’, as well as nominations for Parliamentary Jazz and MOBO Awards. They have gone on to capture the minds of audiences throughout Europe with their dynamic, catchy grooves and strong playing empathy. Last year’s EFG London Jazz Festival invited Phronesis to record two live concerts at the Cockpit Theatre in Marylebone and from it came their latest album ‘Life To Everything’.
Phronesis play three dates in the UK this November, before performing in Paris and Brussels and a December tour in Germany.
