North Sea Jazz Festival to stream Gregory Porter, Jamie Cullum and Metropole Orkest concert
The NN North Sea Jazz Festival will be hosting a live stream concert on what would have been the 44th edition of the world's largest indoor music festival
The NN North Sea Jazz Festival, the Metropole Orkest and NTR have joined forces for a new special concert this week to celebrate what would have been the 44th edition of the world’s largest indoor music festival.
The performance, which will be streamed this Sunday July 12th via the festival’s Facebook page, saw the award-winning Metropole Orkest reunited on stage in full for the first time since the COVID-19 lockdown to perform with a number of international special guests - who were set to perform at this year's festival.
The array of guests included superstar vocalists Gregory Porter and Jamie Cullum, revered trumpeters Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah and Ibrahim Maalouf, and ebullient singer-songwriter Yola.
The North Sea Jazz Festival has built an unrivalled reputation since its inception in 1976 as one of the most unique and eclectic events in the musical calendar. Having played host to the likes of jazz greats Miles Davis and Ray Charles through to D’Angelo, Erykah Badu, Jamiroquai, Earth, Wind & Fire and many more, the North Sea Jazz Festival is one of the top international jazz events of the year.
