Norah Jones is back with the first single from her brand new album ‘Daybreaks’, which will be released this autumn on the legendary jazz label BlueNote. The first play of ‘Carry On’ was heard on Jazz FM drivetime yesterday – it’s available to download below.

The new release is being described as a ‘kindred spirit’ to her 2002 album ‘Come Away With Me’, with a number of jazz compositions including those by Horace Silver and Duke Ellington. She’s recruited some incredible players too – with saxophonist Wayne Shorter, drummer Brian Blade and organ giant Dr. Lonnie Smith all making appearances. There’s nine original compositions from Norah, which she says she wrote at her kitchen piano with her young family providing inspiration.

‘Daybreaks’ is out on October 7th, with her one UK show in November completely sold out already.
